There is nothing quite like the love of a cat to make you feel like the most important human on the planet. I am lucky enough to have been loved by many kitties in my time on earth so far. This site will feature photos and stories of the kitties my husband and I share. We live in Kalamazoo, MI.
Ari – the pretty princess. Ari came to us as a kitten. One of the litter from my sister in law. She was content to play by herself and overall pretty quiet. We thought she would make a great addition to our family and sister for our cat Static. She proved us right and it didn’t take long for her to settle into her place and teach us all about the joys of having a kitten. Static has since passed away and Ari is now big sister to her brother Fletch. They have an interesting relationship but when it comes right down to it I am sure they love each other. Ari enjoys taking naps, watching Food Network, chasing the red dot on the laser, catnip, and snuggles.
Fletch – the baby. When my husband and I went to meet new kittens to expand our family back to 4 after loosing Static, Fletch made sure we knew he was the one for us. Our first moments with Fletch were him crawling into each of our laps and kissing each of our noses. We both knew right then he was the kitten for us – it’s pretty easy to tell when they pick you out. Having been a few years since Ari was a kitten, we had forgotten all about what it’s like to raise a baby cat. Fletch showered us with so many purrs and so much love that we easily forgave the difficulties of teaching a kitten. He quickly grew from 2lbs and fitting in just one hand to 16lbs and taking 2 arms to hold. Fletch enjoys being held, purring, chasing the red dot on the laser, bird watching, Food Network, catnip, and snuggles.
Static – My husband was lucky to get a kitten and earn his love for 21 years. I was lucky to have Static come in to my life too. A lover of cheeseburgers, ham, pancakes, biscuits, french fries, and pretty much any food he could get his paws on, Static was a great cat. Anytime either of us wanted all day snuggles Static was right there, ready to settle in and enjoy the day. He was also good at “helping” – read, play games, sorting things, change the bed sheets, and other household tasks. Static loved cat treats and would do almost anything to get some. We both miss him a lot and treasure the time we had with him.

A little about me…. I really love the color purple, as you may have guessed by the site colors. I love to travel even though I miss my kitties when I do. I know that they are here waiting for me with all the snuggles when I return. I enjoy reading, watching TV and movies, playing board and card games, and spending time with friends. I am a member of JCI – Junior Chamber International – and enjoy growing myself as a leader in my personal life, career, and community. I am now the owner of a piano and excited to get back to learning to play and to practice singing- one of my greatest passions in life.
